A technology solutions provider in the UK seeks an experienced M365 & Entra Technical Architect to lead architectural initiatives across Microsoft 365 and Entra ID platforms. Candidates should possess deep expertise in Microsoft 365 services, expert knowledge of Entra ID, and the ability to embed Zero Trust principles. This position offers a full-time contract with a focus on a secure digital workplace and identity services.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Purview.
• Expert knowledge of Entra ID including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, identity lifecycle, and hybrid identity.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and modern security models.

Overview

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced M365 & Entra Technical Architect to provide enterprise-wide architectural leadership across our Microsoft 365 and Entra ID platforms. This is a key role shaping the future of our digital workplace and identity services, ensuring they are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned to business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Defining and maintaining the enterprise architecture for Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
• Leading the design of secure identity, access, collaboration, and endpoint solutions
• Providing architectural governance, technical assurance, and design authority for M365/Entra initiatives
• Developing standards, reference architectures, patterns, and roadmaps
• Advising on and embedding Zero Trust principles across identity, endpoints, and data
• Acting as the subject matter expert for identity lifecycle management, authentication, and conditional access
• Leading complex migrations, integrations, and transformation programmes involving M365 and Entra ID
• Providing technical leadership on security, compliance, and data protection within the Microsoft ecosystem
• Mentoring engineers and supporting capability uplift across identity and collaboration technologies

Skills & Experience

• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Purview
• Expert knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, identity lifecycle, and hybrid identity
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and modern security models
• Experience with Intune, endpoint management, Autopilot, and device compliance
• Knowledge of modern authentication and integration protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM)
• Strong architectural design and problem-solving capability
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and explain complex concepts clearly
