Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee installation of mechanical and electrical services on a major new-build warehouse project in Braintree, Essex. You will drive safety, quality and on-time delivery from site setup through to practical completion.

The role requires SMSTS or SSSTS, a CSCS Gold Card or higher, and practical experience with Dalux. Strong communication with subcontractors and the main contractor, plus proficient use of MS Office, are essential.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated M&E Site Manager to oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a major new-build project comprising three warehouse units in Braintree. You'll play a key role in driving quality, safety, and timely delivery throughout construction, working closely with subcontractors and the main contractor from site setup through to practical completion.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing site inductions and supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and method statements
• Carrying out and documenting equipment safety checks
• Delivering daily Toolbox Talks to reinforce health and safety standards
• Monitoring progress against the project programme, adjusting schedules to meet deadlines
• Ensuring all works comply with contract drawings and specifications
• Conducting and recording quality inspections of installations
• Providing regular progress reports to M&E Contracts Managers
• Maintaining effective daily communication with the main contractor

What We're Looking For

• Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
• CSCS Gold Card or higher
• Experience using the Dalux system
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience on commercial projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Telehandler Licence - Not necessary but desirable
