Job description

A respected and well established M&E contractor in Edinburgh are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The company delivers mechanical and electrical packages for major construction projects across commercial, public sector and private sector clients.

They are very well established, consistently busy and offer long term stability along with strong career development.

This role sits beneath a team of senior surveyors and a commercial manager and is ideal for a graduate level to intermediate level quantity surveyor who wants hands on experience and clear progression.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Confident use of the National Schedule of Rates
  • Supporting cost plans, bills of quantities and tender documentation
  • Preparing valuations, variations and applications for payment
  • Working closely with engineers, project managers, site teams and clients
  • Ensuring compliance with PSA requirements where needed
  • Maintaining accurate cost records and reporting to the commercial manager
About You
  • Experience within M&E quantity surveying
  • Open to candidates from private practice or directly from industry
  • Strong communicator who can work well within a busy contractor environment
  • Detail focused with enthusiasm to learn, grow and progress
  • Degree qualified or working toward a relevant qualification
