M&E Project Manager

Location: Birmingham (Flagship Residential / Multi-use Development)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Car / Car Allowance + Benefits

The Opportunity

An established, nationally recognised building services contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to take the lead on a major, flagship residential / mixed use development in Birmingham. This is a key appointment on a high-profile scheme, offering long-term work security and the opportunity to manage complex, high-value mechanical and electrical installations from site. The role would suit a Project Manager with either a mechanical or electrical bias, provided they are comfortable overseeing both disciplines on site.

The Role

As M&E Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the full M&E installation package, from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Full project delivery of mechanical and electrical services
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers
  • Coordinating programme, resources, and sequencing of works
  • Ensuring quality, compliance, and health & safety standards are met
  • Liaising closely with the main contractor, design teams, and client representatives
  • Managing cost control, variations, and commercial awareness
  • Overseeing commissioning, snagging, and final handover
About You
  • Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager within the residential / multi‑use sector (essential)
  • Strong background in either mechanical or electrical building services
  • Confident managing both M & E installations on complex schemes
  • Experience delivering large-scale residential projects (apartments, mixed‑use, high‑rise)
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
  • Comfortable being client-facing and driving delivery on site
