Job summary

Project Freelance is seeking an experienced M&E/MEICA Manager to lead a team of MEICA professionals across Lancaster and Ambleside, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to programme requirements. The role requires strong leadership, resource planning and strategic delivery.

Ideal candidates will have United Utilities Tier 1 contractor background and a proven track record in senior MEICA/M&E management within the water sector, with extensive on-site work across the North West.

Qualifications

• Previous United Utilities Tier 1 contractor experience.
• Senior MEICA/M&E management background.
• Strong water/wastewater project delivery experience.
• Experience leading engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Excellent stakeholder and client-facing skills.
• Strong health, safety and governance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of MEICA engineers and delivery personnel across Lancaster and Ambleside areas.
• Ensure activities are delivered safely, on time and to required quality.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control activities across multiple projects.
• Manage resources, programme delivery and project priorities.
• Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams and client stakeholders.
• Identify risks and opportunities and support project strategy.
• Provide regular progress updates and delivery oversight.

The role requires strong leadership, resource planning and the ability to take a proactive approach to project delivery and strategic planning.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working for a United Utilities Tier 1 contractor.
• Demonstrable experience in a senior MEICA/M&E management role.
• Strong water or wastewater infrastructure project delivery background.
• Experience managing teams of engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Excellent stakeholder and client-facing skills.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and project governance requirements.
• Ability to work predominantly on-site across the North West.
