Overview

Our clients, an innovative and forward‑thinking business in Manchester, are seeking an M&A Associate to join their team. This is an opportunity to join an expanding division, working at the forefront of deal origination, liaising between business owners and buyers / investors.

Working hours
  • Full Time
  • Monday – Friday (hybrid working available)
Salary and Benefits
  • Basic salary £35,000 - £45,000
  • OTE £50,000 - £60,000

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience if you hold an ACA, ACCA, CFA or similar qualification, or 5 years’ experience in deal origination, corporate finance, or a related field if not qualified.
  • Proven track record in lead generation, business development, or M&A origination.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Be highly organised with strong analytical and research skills.
  • Goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, and comfortable working to targets.
Responsibilities
  • Identifying and engaging potential buyers, investors, and acquisition targets across multiple sectors.
  • Research and map markets to build and maintain a strong origination pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business owners, private equity firms, and corporate investors.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities and prepare relevant materials for the deal team.
  • Collaborate with senior advisors to present opportunities to clients and support deal strategy discussions.
  • Track origination metrics and contribute to business development initiatives.
