Lincoln International is seeking Associates to join our rapidly growing M&A practice in New York, NY. Successful candidates have strong cognitive and interpersonal abilities, and are motivated by the prospect of building a leading M&A advisory firm.

The Associate role involves close collaboration with senior bankers and clients’ executives, with end-to-end deal execution and international exposure. You’ll also help with Analysts’ development and new business efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and finance knowledge with business acumen.
• 1–5 years of M&A experience; MBA may substitute 1–2 years.
• Experience in financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analyses and valuations.
• Conduct industry research.
• Identify and contact potential buyers or acquisition targets.
• Prepare confidential information memoranda and management presentations.
• Interact with senior bankers and clients’ senior executives.
• Participate in new business meetings.
• Host visits by potential buyers at client facilities.
• Support senior bankers during transaction negotiations.
• Facilitate due diligence and transaction closings.
• Lead or implement initiatives focused on growing the firm’s franchise value.
