Qualifications

Job description

Are you an experienced LV Authorised Person with a passion for safety, quality, and leading teams? We're looking for a knowledgeable and safety-conscious LV Electrical Supervisor to join our growing team in Essex.

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring all Low Voltage electricity networks are installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards - in line with TriConnex method statements, DNO/IDNO specifications, and strict safety protocols.

You will report directly to the Senior Electrical Supervisor and take responsibility for guiding and developing LV operatives on site, while driving performance, compliance, and a positive safety culture.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading and supervising LV installation activities across projects
  • Managing and supporting site operatives to deliver high‑quality work
  • Identifying risks, carrying out audits/inspections, and maintaining a safe site environment
  • Supporting training and development for colleagues working toward authorised status
  • Assisting with testing and commissioning of LV distribution systems
  • Reviewing network anomalies (e.g. phase rotation) and coordinating with SAPs
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S, Quality, and Environmental standards
  • Maintaining accurate site and project records
  • Working closely with Operations Managers and Planners to keep projects on track
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven supervisory experience in the electrical/utilities industry
  • LV Authorised Person status
  • Strong knowledge of LV jointing, installations, and DNO/IDNO standards
  • Experience working under Electrical Safety Rules on or near live networks
  • A track record of mentoring and developing others
  • Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice
  • A collaborative and proactive approach
Desirable qualifications
  • Substation/switchgear installation experience
  • NRSWA, SMSTS, CSCS/SHEA certifications
  • Manual Handling & First Aid
  • Full UK Driving Licence
