A leading utility services provider in the UK is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design hardware systems for low voltage assemblies. You will translate client specifications into technical layouts, ensuring compliance with standards. Ideal candidates will have a completed Electrical & Electronic Engineering apprenticeship, be experienced with PLCs, and proficient in CAD software. This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
You will be designing hardware systems for LV assemblies, working with trusted components like ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs, fuses, transformers, relays, VSDs, PLCs, and ICA systems. You will be interpreting client drawings and specifications, turning them into clear schematics, layouts, and arrangements that meet safety, quality, and engineering standards. You will be supporting functional testing, completing inspection documentation, and ensuring compliance with BSEN 61439 and ISO9001. You will be leading factory acceptance testing, collaborating with project managers, workshop staff, and client representatives, while maintaining strong relationships and prioritizing health, safety, and customer satisfaction.
