Job summary

Oyster Yachts Limited is seeking an experienced Boat Build Joinery Designer to join our Design team in Wroxham or Southampton. You will develop interior joinery designs, produce detailed drawings, and support Production throughout the luxury yacht build.

You’ll work with designers, naval architects and project managers to optimise designs and enable efficient manufacture. Using Siemens NX, you will maintain a reliable digital model and contribute to modular build methods, new technologies and

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of interior joinery and manufacturing processes.
• Strong CAD skills in 2D and 3D, especially Siemens NX.
• Ability to interpret and explain technical drawings clearly to non-design colleagues.
• Experience in a design-related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of yacht production techniques is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed drawings and manufacturing information to support yacht production.
• Use NX CAD to maintain the digital twin of each yacht.
• Design interior fit-outs suitable for CNC manufacture.
• Create interior fit-out and fabrication drawings for internal and outsourced manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate 3D models and libraries with version control.
• Support Production, Sales and Project Management with options and renders.
