Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Household Assistant for a private residence in St Helier, Jersey. The role involves hands-on housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care, with a focus on discretion and high service standards.

The successful candidate will support the household day-to-day operations, including guest services, errands, and event preparation, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism within a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a private household, luxury hotel, yacht, or similar high-end service environment.
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and garment care skills.
• Professional ironing with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
• High standards of personal presentation and professionalism.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
• Calm, discreet, and trustworthy manner.
• Excellent communication skills and a service-focused approach.

• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist wherever required.
• Experience working for UHNW families or private estates.
• Knowledge of luxury fabric care and wardrobe management.
• Experience coordinating with household staff and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the residence to exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Perform full housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying, organising, and room preparation.
• Laundering, garment care, and wardrobe management.
• Ironing to a very high standard for delicate and luxury fabrics.
• Bedmaking, linen changes, and towel management.
• Manage laundry cycles, dry cleaning, and specialist care.
• Ensure household supplies are stocked and organised.
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning and household projects.
• Provide table setting and light food/beverage service as required.
• Prepare guest rooms and areas for arrivals and departures.
• Run errands and assist with household administration when needed.
• Anticipate needs and show initiative with minimal supervision.
• Support day-to-day operations and maintain strict discretion.
