Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London seeks a skilled Shift Engineer to maintain luxury hotel operations and ensure high safety and service standards. You will manage electrical and mechanical systems, respond to faults, and uphold brand procedures across front and back of house.

Ideal candidates will bring UK trade qualifications and a background in luxury hospitality, plus strong communication to coordinate with teams and contractors. The role is based on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical UK trade qualification.
• Experience in luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex engineering issues promptly.
• Knowledge of local building codes, safety and environmental regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to liaise with teams and contractors.

Responsabilités

• Have full knowledge of the company procedures and policies and adhere to them.
• Check that all mechanical and electrical systems and tools are working and in good repair.
• Respond to and rectify emergency maintenance faults prioritising health & safety; log progress.
• Update maintenance reporting platform on duty; adhere to system procedures.
• Carry out regular daily patrols to identify corrective repairs, e.g., changing light bulbs.
• Report fire life safety matters immediately to management.
