Responsibilities

• Manage Complex Caseloads: Coordinate care across the lung cancer pathway.
• Provide Expert Guidance: Offer specialist advice to patients, families, and colleagues.
• Optimise Outcomes: Work with consultants, oncologists, and palliative care to enhance patient experiences.
• Support Holistically: Deliver emotional and physical care, from diagnosis to rehabilitation.
• Provide expert clinical assessment, management, and support for patients with lung cancer throughout their care pathway.
• Coordinate patient care and act as a key point of contact for patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver holistic, patient-centered care including symptom management, psychological support, and education.
• Facilitate timely access to diagnostics, treatment, and supportive services.
• Support patients and families in understanding their diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans.
• Lead and contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and patients about lung cancer care and best practice.
• Participate in clinical research and support recruitment where applicable.
• Advocate for patients' needs and ensure equitable access to care and support services.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with professional standards.
