Job summary

Fennies Day Nurseries Ltd is seeking a Lunchtime Teaching Assistant to support children during lunchtime, creating a calm, safe and enjoyable experience.

The role offers Monday to Friday, 11:15 am – 2:30 pm with a competitive salary up to £14 per hour and a potential performance-related bonus. Training is provided, and there is a strong emphasis on safeguarding and teamwork.

Qualifications

• You’ll need to be caring, reliable and enjoy working with children as part of a team.
• Training will be provided; previous nursery experience isn’t required.
• Basic understanding of child development or early years is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children during lunchtime routines, encouraging independence and good eating habits.
• Help create a calm and nurturing environment during lunch and transition times.
• Assist with supervising children indoors and outdoors.
• Support children’s wellbeing, comfort and emotional needs.
• Work closely with the team to maintain routines.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, safety and hygiene.

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Teaching Assistant, you’ll support children during lunchtime routines, helping to create a positive, calm and enjoyable experience.
