Job summary

St Chad’s C of E Primary School in Winsford invites applications for a Midday Assistant (Grade 2). The role is temporary until 31 August 2027, term-time only, 6.25 hours per week, 11:45am–1:00pm, Monday to Friday. DBS Enhanced required, salary details provided.

The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual and able to work with children, supporting lunchtime activities and ensuring safety and positive interactions among pupils.

Responsibilities

• supporting our children with their individual needs during their lunchtime break, in the dinner hall
• Engaging the children in games on the playground
• Ensure the safety of the children during the lunchtime period, considering the children’s ages and behaviour.
• Helping the children to interact with each other in a positive and friendly manner
• Setting up the dinner hall, including putting tables up and moving chairs.
• Cleaning the dinner hall and tables at the end of the dinner session and moving the tables and chairs back into the storage cupboard.
• Complete any relevant training for the role
