Job summary

Fossebrook Primary School in Leicester Forest East is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to support the lunchtime staff and oversee pupils during lunch breaks. This permanent, part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 13:00, term-time plus INSET days, with a pay scale at Grade 4 Pay Point 5-6.

You will supervise pupils, help clear away, and monitor behaviour and safety in and around the dining area. Experience with children and good communication are essential to foster a positive lunchtime

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children.
• Empathy with and understanding of children in the age range concerned.
• Ability to be assertive when necessary.
• Ability to understand and follow health and safety procedures and school policies.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch and manage queues.
• Assist with clearing away and tidying the eating area and mop spills.
• Supervise pupils after lunch inside or outside, ensuring health, safety and security.
• Maintain good order and discipline, handling incidents appropriately.
