Job summary

Willow Bank Infant School in Reading is seeking a positive, enthusiastic person to join our lunchtime team for a temporary maternity cover role. The post is part-time, Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 13:20, until December 2026 with a possible extension.

Duties: assisting children during meals and outdoor play, ensuring safety and order in the playground. Training is provided; experience with children is welcome but not essential, as a positive approach, patience and good humour are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with children is preferred, though not essential; a positive approach, patience and good humour are valued.
• Initial and on-going training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Our lunchtime staff support and supervise children during meals and outdoor play in the playground, ensuring safety and smooth daily routine.
