Job summary

Whitburn Village Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to support lunchtime provision. The role focuses on keeping children safe and happy, promoting positive behaviour and fostering inclusion during meals and playtime.

You will work with a dedicated school team, bringing creativity and initiative to create a welcoming, enjoyable lunchtime experience for all pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people in a school setting.
• Strong communication with children, staff and stakeholders; ability to bring fresh ideas to lunchtime provision.
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive and enjoyable lunchtime experience for all pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, care and supervision during the lunchtime period to ensure children are safe and well supported.
• Promote positive behaviour, encourage independence and help children engage positively during meals and playtime.
• Work alongside the school team to manage day-to-day lunchtime demands and keep a calm, orderly environment.
