Job summary

Partou Euxton Day Nursery & Pre-school is seeking a flexible Lunchtime Cover Assistant to join our busy nursery. The role is 15 hours per week, part-time, supporting children’s learning and development in line with EYFS, and ensuring a safe, caring environment during lunch breaks.

You’ll work with our team to provide high-quality care, build partnerships with families, and step in to cover lunch periods as needed in a warm, supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Strong EYFS knowledge.
• Passion for early years education.
• Confidence in supporting children’s learning and development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development during lunchtime cover and play.
• Provide safe, nurturing care in a busy nursery environment.
• Assist with activities that engage children and promote learning per EYFS.
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure a smooth lunch-time cover experience.
