Job summary

Southend High School for Girls is seeking a Midday Supervisor to join the team on a permanent contract. The role is 5.83 hours per week (12:20–13:30, Monday–Friday), term time only (38 weeks per year) with an actual salary of £3,310 per annum. The successful candidate will help ensure student safety and welfare during lunch breaks.

Experience in an educational environment is advantageous but not essential; a DBS check is required. Closing date is Sunday 27th September 2026.

Qualifications

• Term time only (38 weeks per year).
• Experience in an educational environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Fluent spoken English is required for the role.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students collecting lunch from the canteen or collection points.
• Supervise students in the school buildings and grounds.
• Encourage social skills and good table manners.
• Be able to take direction and work well as part of a team.
• Assist with cleaning dining room area at the end of lunch break.
