Job summary

Christ Church Infant School (CCI) is seeking a Lunch Break Supervisor & Play Leader to join our warm, supportive team. You will oversee lunchtime activities, promote safe and inclusive play, supervise pupils across dining areas and playgrounds, and assist younger children with lunch as needed.

The role requires reliability, a calm and friendly demeanor, and good communication. Term-time hours are 12:10 PM–1:40 PM, Monday to Friday, with a permanent contract and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in working with children.
• A calm, friendly, and approachable manner.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Experience in a school or childcare setting (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Supervising children in the dining areas, playgrounds, school field, and other school areas during the lunch break.
• Encouraging good manners and positive behaviour.
• Assisting younger children with lunch as needed.
• Promoting inclusion and friendly play, and intervening positively in cases of conflict.
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils during the lunch period.
• Listen to children read for 30 minutes daily
