We’re looking for a LTS Physical Strategy Support Assistant to join our LTS Strategy team in System Operations, Horley. This is a fantastic opportunity to build deep operational insight into SGN’s Above 7bar network, working closely with a skilled and collaborative team to shape annual and long‑term strategies, support Control Room operations, and help coordinate safe, efficient frontline activities across the network.

• Review Non‑Routine Operations (NROs) affecting telemetered sites on the Above 7bar Local Transmission System (LTS)
• Serve as a critical interface between the Control Room and front line operational teams, enabling the safe, timely, and coordinated delivery of complex activities across SGN’s Above 7bar network.
• Lead the preparation and implementation of annual Gas Control Operations Plans, aligning planned works with network capacity, seasonal demand, and strategic priorities
• Contribute to the development of long‑term operating strategies supporting network resilience and control capabilities
• Support policy development, fault reporting, and strategic planning initiatives that underpin operation of the network and drive continuous improvement across System Operations

What you will need

• A strong interest in gas network operations, ideally with some understanding of Above 7bar systems and how they are planned, controlled and maintained
• Ability to interpret network analysis and assess the operational impact of maintenance, construction, and emergency activities on the LTS and Control Room operations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to liaise across departments and with external partners.
• A proactive mindset and strategic thinking skills.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment
