Are you passionate about supporting pupils in primary education? Academics are recruiting enthusiastic LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) for temporary, ongoing roles across Sheffield primary schools, with flexibility to suit both full‑time and part‑time availability.

Position: LSA (Learning Support Assistant)
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing positions
Pay: £88.94 - £100 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that suits you

About the Role

As an LSA, you will play a vital role supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Responsibilities may include assisting SEN pupils, supporting small intervention groups, and helping the teacher deliver engaging, accessible learning activities.

These roles are ideal for individuals with a genuine interest in education and supporting children’s academic, social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils
    Assist with learning activities planned by the teacher
    Encourage confidence, participation and progress
    Support behaviour and classroom expectations
    Help maintain an inclusive and positive learning environment
    Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and support staff
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
