The team has a vacancy for a qualified solicitor specialising in prosecutions, licensing and regulatory work.

The team covers a range of work including:

  • Magistrates Court advocacy (prosecutions and appeals)
  • Trading Standards work (Fraud/Consumer Protection)
  • Providing advice on the Licensing Act 2003 (premises licences, advising committees, appeals)
  • Advice to Private Sector Housing (illegal eviction, HMO Licensing, Housing Act Prosecutions etc)
  • Neighbourhood Enforcement (Environmental Protection Act prosecutions – Flytipping, Community Protection Notices etc)
  • General Local Authority Policy Advice

You should have knowledge and experience in prosecutions at Magistrates and Crown Court level and be willing to be trained in the others.
