NHS Grampian – Catering Production Assistant (Band 2)

Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a catering production assistant (Band 2) to join the team in the main production kitchen at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This role will predominantly involve cleaning, plating patient meals, basic food handling, and other kitchen porter type duties.

Responsibilities

The position will require participation in daily kitchen operations, including:

  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen workspace and equipment
  • Plating patient meals in accordance with dietary specifications
  • Basic food handling and preparation tasks
  • Other general kitchen porter duties as required
Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a busy catering environment or physically demanding cleaning operation is an advantage. On‑the‑job training will be provided.

Working Hours

37 hours per week. Rota: 5 days from 7.
