Job summary

Point72’s Technology Infrastructure team seeks a detail-oriented Low-Latency Market Data Engineer with 5+ years of Linux experience to design, implement, and support co-located market data infrastructure. You will work on Linux servers and network devices to ensure reliable, low-latency performance across trading platforms.

You’ll implement monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, automate with Ansible and Terraform, and coordinate with vendors on data feeds and protocol updates while solving complex

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network design experience for critical services.
• 5+ years of Linux System Administration experience in RHEL environments.
• Experience with high-frequency trading environments in co-locations.
• Experience with Market Data or third-party feed handlers.
• Experience with tuning Linux servers for low latency and high throughput (kernel bypass).
• Experience with automation/orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with scripting (Bash, Python).
• Experience with cloud services and provisioning tools.
• Experience with monitoring/instrumentation (Prometheus/Grafana).
• Familiarity with version control (Bitbucket/Github) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Manage, communicate, and implement infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations on co-located network devices and Linux servers.
• Support, monitor, and maintain co-location market data infrastructure on RHEL.
• Engage with vendors and exchanges on protocol upgrades and operational issues.
• Analyze packet captures for data quality and gaps.
• Liaise with Market Data capture vendors on issues, upgrades, and performance.
• Implement a strategic monitoring platform with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Develop and expand AI-based tools linking data sources for instrumentation.
• Automate data gathering and configuration changes via Ansible, GitHub, NetBox.
