Job summary

Miller Maxwell Ltd, an international electronic trading organisation, seeks a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join its high-performance engineering team in London. Design and optimise trading systems, contribute across SDLC within an Agile environment.

You will work with a large cross-functional team across offices, implement low-latency solutions, leverage STL, and solve complex, high-pressure challenges. Hybrid work model: 2 days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Minimum five years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong C++ expertise with focus on low-latency.
• Experience in HFT or real-time systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise trading systems in C++.
• Full SDLC involvement within an Agile team.
• Collaborate with large cross-office engineering groups.
• Deliver performance-critical, low-latency solutions.
• Maintain clean, efficient code using STL.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues under pressure.
