Job description

Assists department heads in managing engineering and security operations to ensure the safety, security, and functionality of property assets, employees, and guests. Responsible for maintaining building systems and grounds, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and overseeing security measures to prevent accidents, fire hazards, and property loss. Ensures compliance with legal requirements and Standard Operating Procedures while promoting guest and employee satisfaction through effective communication, training, and leadership.

Maintenance and Security Responsibilities
  • Assists in planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
  • Supervises distribution and completion of repair work orders.
  • Manages physical plant systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and life safety systems.
  • Develops and implements emergency and security procedures.
  • Conducts investigations of property losses and recommends corrective actions.
  • Deploys security staff and monitors property assets.
  • Conducts periodic patrols of property and parking areas.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate safety and security guidelines.
  • Maintains logs, certifications, and documentation required by law and SOPs.
Maintaining Property Standards & Safety
  • Inspects and evaluates physical condition of facilities to determine required work.
  • Operates generators and fire pumps as necessary.
  • Provides emergency response services 24/7.
  • Ensures security equipment is fully functional and safety hazards are minimized.
  • Maintains first aid and CPR certifications for security staff.
Leading Teams & Ensuring Exceptional Service
  • Supervises day-to-day operations of engineering and security teams.
  • Communicates expectations and recognizes performance.
  • Empowers employees to deliver excellent customer service and maintain safety standards.
  • Attends meetings to gather and share critical information for group needs and events.
  • Builds trust and cooperation among team members through coaching and mentoring.
Human Resources & Compliance Activities
  • Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training employees in safety and operational procedures.
  • Conducts performance appraisals and disciplinary actions per SOPs and LSOPs.
  • Supports orientation programs and on-the-job training tools.
  • Administers property policies fairly and consistently.
  • Coordinates with HR on employee issues and accident claims management.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Coordinates VIP escort and media control for large events.
  • Analyzes information to solve problems and improve service performance.
  • Ensures compliance with local authority requirements for safety and security.
