Job description

This role offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys field work, assessing losses on-site, and project-managing claims through to fair and timely settlement. For someone with claims-handling or adjusting experience who is ready for the next step, this position offers strong development potential and the chance to help shape a new in-house service!

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducting on-site claim assessments and investigations.
  • Managing claims from first instruction to settlement.
  • Engaging with customers in person and maintaining strong communication throughout the process.
  • Preparing reports, documenting findings and making reasoned recommendations.
  • Coordinating contractors, suppliers and third parties where required.
  • Ensuring claims progress in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining clear, empathetic communication.
  • Supporting the development and success of the new loss adjusting service.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold, or be working toward, a CILA qualification, or have demonstrable experience handling commercial or home claims alongside relevant CII qualifications. They will be self-motivated, organised and confident managing their workload independently. Strong analytical and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly with customers in sometimes sensitive situations. A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service is key.
