Marley Risk Consultants Ltd are a chartered Loss Adjusters servicing the needs of the Property Latent Defects Insurance market across the UK. Established in 2013, we have offices in Shrewsbury, London, and Evesham, and are experiencing growth to meet our expanding client base.
We are seeking an experienced Loss Adjuster to evaluate insurance claims and manage a portfolio of Latent Defect Claims on both delegated and retained authority basis. This role is home-based with travel across the UK.

Job Type:
- Full-time (Monday to Friday).
Key Activities:
- Manage a portfolio of Latent Defect Insurance Claims efficiently.
- Attend on-site investigations and meetings.
- Review reports, gather information, and investigate claims.
- Liaise with industry professionals and advise on liability and claims strategy.
- Manage your schedule to meet deadlines.
- Update Claims Management System accurately and securely.
- Occasionally attend meetings at Shrewsbury head office.
- Perform tasks as required by Senior Management.
- Participate in training, including CII/CILA qualifications, with costs covered by the company.
- Handle communications with insurers, policyholders, and professionals.
- Coordinate with policyholders and experts for claims settlement.
- Identify recovery opportunities and liaise with legal advisors.
- Proactively manage your claim portfolio.
- Ensure fair treatment of customers and compliance with legal and industry standards.
- Occasionally join site visits across the UK.
- Engage in team discussions and knowledge sharing.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience managing construction and latent defect claims, including for new builds and conversions.
- Experience with IT systems, including MS Office and Claims Management Portals.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction law, and insurance law.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently.
- Qualified in CII/CILA, ideally with an advanced diploma or higher.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; GCSE English Grade 5/C or equivalent required.
- Additional qualifications in surveying, Building Control, or similar are advantageous.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel, including overnight stays if necessary.
