Job summary

Damira Dental Studios in Woolston, Southampton, invites a confident Long-Term Locum Dentist to join its busy NHS urgent care centre. This role focuses on emergency dentistry and stabilisation, not full course treatments, with start date immediate and day rates of £600 weekdays and £450 weekends.

You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, collaborating with nurses and front desk to manage pain relief and urgent conditions for 35–45 patients daily.

Qualifications

• GDC-registered dentist with current NHS performer number
• Up-to-date indemnity and immunisation records
• Urgent care or high-volume NHS settings experience preferred

Long-Term Locum Dentist - Urgent Care Focus

Damira Dental Studios, Woolston (Southampton)

We are looking for experienced, confident dentists to join our busy NHS urgent care centre in Woolston, Southampton. This is not a routine general practice role- this position is suited to clinicians who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoy the challenge of emergency dentistry.

What You Need to Know

This is a dedicated emergency and stabilisation service. Our focus is on relieving pain, managing urgent conditions and stabilising patients - not delivering comprehensive courses of treatment.

• You will typically see 35-45 patients per day
• Patient flow includes NHS 111 referrals, walk-ins and stabilisation cases
• No two days are the same adaptability is key

We are looking for clinicians who can work efficiently without compromising patient care, and who are comfortable making quick, sound clinical decisions.

Performance & UDA Expectations

• Daily UDA targets apply (details provided on enquiry)
• Overachievement is paid at £/UDA
• No financial penalties for underperformance
