Position: Long haul truck driver

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Location: Surrey, BC V3Z 1G8 (On site)

Salary: $32.00 to $38.00 per hour (negotiable). 35 to 50 hours per week.

Terms of employment: Permanent, full time. Starts as soon as possible. Vacancies: 6.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Qualifications
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip)
  • Experience: Long‑haul driving; experience an asset
  • Personal suitability: Flexibility, Reliability, Team player, Hardworking
