Job summary

Turner & Townsend in London seeks an Associate Director to lead and support large-scale data centre construction projects across Europe, from inception to commissioning.

You will manage cross-functional teams, set governance, KPI-driven performance, and oversee budgets and reporting. This role requires chartered status or progress toward it and a strong background in construction consultancy with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred.
• Professionally qualified in construction, project management, engineering or architecture.
• Chartered status or on path to achieving this.
• A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle from conception to post‑project review.
• Excellent knowledge of project management concepts, tools and techniques.
• Design/management/construction experience in residential, office, fit-outs and health & education sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise at the project conception stage to align with client objectives.
• Establish overall success criteria including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Plan for and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues.
• Establish governance, processes and systems to be used throughout the project.
• Prepare the detailed project plan.
• Advise on resource procurement.
• Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team.
• Monitor performance using KPIs to improve outcomes.
• Manage change control processes.
• Monitor and advise on project finances.
• Coordinate project information with client via meetings and reports.
• Produce formal progress and other reports.
• Interface with client and other consultants at all stages.
