Job summary

FIFTH SEASON in London seeks an Acquisitions Consultant to provide maternity cover. Source and evaluate premium content for global distribution, negotiating deals with producers, financiers and studios. Work with SVP, Acquisitions and cross-functional teams to build a strong, commercially oriented content slate.

Candidates should have deep relationships across the TV sector, strong editorial and financial acumen, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in content acquisitions, sales or related television roles.
• Strong editorial judgment with international commercial potential.
• Ability to negotiate and close complex deals and manage relationships.

Responsibilities

• Source high-quality scripted and unscripted content for global distribution.
• Evaluate submissions and provide editorial and commercial recommendations.
• Lead or support negotiations on distribution, licensing and investment opportunities.
• Develop sales estimates, investment cases and financial models with cross-functional teams.
