Job summary

JMC Aviation is recruiting a Director of Aviation to lead a nationally significant portfolio of airport-based services in London. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive regulatory excellence, operational readiness and commercial performance while overseeing major contracts and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Executive-level experience in aviation security or similarly governed airport environments.
• Experience directing sizeable dispersed teams responsible for daily delivery.
• Strong understanding of statutory obligations, control frameworks and assurance in the sector.
• Track record of driving measurable improvements during major transition/modernisation.

Responsibilities

• Set direction for a geographically dispersed portfolio of airport-based services.
• Strengthen operational readiness, service standards and protective controls.
• Develop leadership pipeline and raise capability across the workforce.
• Act as senior partner to customers, aviation authorities and external parties.
• Oversee launch, transfer and redesign of major contracts and services.
• Contribute to revenue growth by shaping proposals and deepening customer partnerships.
