Niantic Spatial in London is seeking a 3D Reconstruction Research Scientist/Engineer to bridge cutting‑edge academic work and customer deployments. You’ll develop and ship 3D reconstruction tech, from SfM to neural scene representations, working with world‑class CV/ML teams.

You’ll publish in top venues, guide end‑to‑end experiments, and translate ideas into production features for enterprise customers, with a role suited to both junior and senior researchers based on experience.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience.
• Strong 3D CV research track record (reconstruction, depth estimation, novel view synthesis, SfM, SLAM).
• Meaningful publication record at top venues (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS).
• Strong Python and PyTorch skills.
• Proven ability to translate research into production (shipped feature, production pipeline, etc.).
• Ability to drive research projects independently.

Responsabilités

• Research & Publication — conduct original 3D vision research and publish in top venues.
• Algorithm Development — design and evaluate 3D reconstruction, neural scene representations, and spatial models.
• Research-to-Production — collaborate to turn ideas into customer-facing features.
• Large-Scale Experimentation — build and run benchmarking frameworks.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration — partner with CV, ML, graphics, robotics teams.
• Rapid Prototyping — implement state‑of‑the‑art methods for production and customers.
