Job summary

Grace & Poise Academy in London is hiring two part-time ballet teachers (self-employed) to deliver class sessions at the Willesden and Mitcham branches and to prepare students for internal exams.

Minimum requirements include 18+, Fluent English, Enhanced DBS and First Aid (funding to be provided by applicant), and a Degree in Ballet Education or an equivalent qualification. Occasional exam overtime and cover work are available, with Friday evening slots.

Job Description:

Please note we are looking to hire two candidates for this role. One for the Mitcham branch, and one for the Willesden branch.

Delivering Ballet classes and preparing students for internal exams. Supporting students with welfare & development. This is a part time role. This position is ideal for teachers with experience teaching ballet and contemporary based work. This position will also provide opportunities for cover & exam overtime work.

Minimum Requirements:

• 18yrs+

• Enhanced DBS & First Aid (We can support with gaining an Enhanced DBS but this would be expected to be funded by the applicant)

• Fluent English

• Degree In Ballet Education/ Other Relevant Qualification

Preferred:

• Experience With Children

• Safeguarding Qualification

Days & Times:

Fridays 4:15pm - 6:15pm (Willesden Branch) Fridays 5:30pm - 7:45pm (Mitcham Branch)

Grace & Poise Academy is a non for profit community interest company seeking to make ballet accessible to diverse communities, specifically but not exclusive the Muslim community. Grace & Poise works with spoken word poetry (rather than music) and has a bespoke ballet to poetry syllabus. As a company with an Islamic ethos classes respect modesty values by ensuring privacy. Grace & Poise operates Academies across 9 venues in London, Luton,& Birmingham and students work towards internal exams annually.
