Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead the collection, delivery team and fleet at the Feltham site. You will ensure Health & Safety standards, manage temperature-controlled environments, and optimise routes and resources for efficient service to clients and laboratories.

The role involves overseeing daily logistics operations, coordinating with third-party couriers, and covering for the Logistics manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence.
• Background in logistics particularly in transport planning and fleet management.
• People and performance management skills.
• Experience Transport planning and fleet management.
• Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft packages.
• Experience using Telematics systems and Traffic management systems.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Highly Organised with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
• Continuous improvement focused.

Responsibilities

• Ensure highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained across the logistics team, reporting and investigating all incidents and accidents within the safety portal.
• Manage and audit all aspects of logistics work and procedures to ensure consistent delivery across team.
• Co-operate with the investigation and resolution of customer issues relating to the business unit.
• Monitor all spend and review with Logistics management.
• Co-ordination of the logistics team absence ensuring continued effective delivery of required tasks.
• Manage co-ordination of sample collection routes to ensure efficient use of company resources delivering an efficient and effective service supporting both clients and laboratories.
• Direct client liaison regarding collections providing updates when required.
• Internal communication with other Eurofins departments to facilitate logistics requirements.
• Daily management of the logistics team for the home site, as well as covering absence for logistics management at other sites.
• Recruitment and induction of newly recruited drivers.
• Performance management of team.
• Monitoring of logistics team on road behaviour via digital platforms.
• Cover for the Logistics manager where required.
