Overview

Are you our next Logistic Support Worker wanting to join us in the NHS?

Responsibilities
  • Duties may involve working within the linen room (including uniform issues) packing and distributing clean linen to our wards and departments, working within our goods inwards area handling receipt and distribution of ordered items, and/or working in our post room area sorting, distributing and franking letters and parcels.
  • We use computers and barcode scanners as part of our processes, so a basic understanding of computers is required. We provide on the job training and support to all our colleagues.
  • The role includes the need to manually handle goods safely for significant periods throughout the working shift that may be bulky/heavy, using equipment such as roll cages and pallet trucks, as appropriate.
  • There is a need to be flexible in working hours and location, as we are University Hospital Dorset merged organisation. You may be required to work cross site.
  • You may need to work flexibly within a shift pattern, which could include occasional weekend and bank holiday working on a rota and additional payment.
