About the role

As a Logistics Solutions Manager...

you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the flow of goods through the supply chain, with a strong focus on managing relationships and performance with third-party logistics providers. This role ensures that service levels, cost targets, and operational KPIs are met while maintaining compliance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • 3PL Relationship Management: Act as the primary liaison between the company and its 3PL partners, ensuring alignment on service expectations, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze 3PL KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates), and lead regular review meetings to address gaps and drive improvements.
  • Operational Oversight: Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, warehouse operations, and transportation activities managed by the 3PL to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor logistics costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts related to 3PL services.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure 3PL operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Address any service disruptions or compliance issues proactively.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams and 3PLs to streamline logistics processes, implement automation or digital tools, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management on logistics performance, risks, and strategic initiatives involving 3PLs.
Qualifications
  • Graduate calibre, with supply chain or logistics experience within an FMCG
  • Data driven
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Exceptional ability to manage workload and identify priority tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong influencing / communication expertise
  • Ability to build good relationships and challenge constructively and confidently
  • Ability to consolidate large volumes of complex information, interpret & construct straightforward plans.
  • Naturally inquisitive and interested in the brands.
  • Confident and capable of operating at all levels and able to resolve conflict situations
  • Competent with PC tools and information systems with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and propose improvement.
  • Able to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to evaluate and resolve operational issues.
