Job Title: Logistics Procurement Category Manager

Location: Walton Oaks

Contract: Until 30th June 2026 / Hybrid

Hours: 36.5 per week

Rates: £25-40 p/h

Job Description

SRG are looking for a logistics procurement category manager that will Lead Procurement activities across key Logistics categories including support to separation work as part of business de-merger for a global company that manufactures and sells personal care and paper-based consumer products.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Category and Contract Management:
    • Ensure that the company requirements for the Logistics category are fulfilled with the optimum quality, service, and total cost of ownership, which are consistent with the needs of our internal business partners, the opportunities presented by the market, and meet our short and long-term requirements.
    • Manage communications between suppliers and internal business partners to ensure business needs are met on an ongoing basis.
    • Develop and maintain expertise on vendor selection, relationships and negotiation.
    • Maintain close, co-operative relationships with key business partners, enabling development of relevant, forward focused category strategies.
    • Operate with an E2E Supply Chain / Business mindset, and in partnership with Business Units, ensure service continuity, continuous improvement and maximized value delivery.
    • Maintain collaborative relationships with across Procurement and leverage these relationships to drive value for the EMEA business and to support the needs of other regions.
    • Ensure that internal control requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Procurement and Contract separation activities:
    • Drive procurement and contract separation activities related to the carve out of the business.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and external advisors to align on and drive execution of all separation planning activities.
    • Facilitate communication with business units to validate scope and service needs.
    • Act as procurement lead on selected contracts and separation planning activities and negotiations.
    • Drive execution of selected Logistics Procurement activities including RFQs and contract negotiations.
    • Understand dispositioning route proposed by legal, align with business stakeholders and execute.
    • Negotiate new agreements for the divested entity where required.
    • Ensure supplier readiness and onboarding for Day 1 operations.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or significant Procurement experience across Logistics categories.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Coupa is essential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and fast-moving business environment.
  • Experience working in a complex global/diverse environment.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management.
  • Self-motivated and assertive with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to influence with and without authority.
  • Ability to reconcile diverse business strategies and challenges.
  • Skilled negotiator / results oriented.
Desirable qualifications and experience
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/Marketing.
  • Problem solving experience in reducing total costs and improving processes.
  • Relevant experience in the category area would be an advantage.
