Our client, a privately owned company, with expertise in specialised Logistics services is seeking an experienced Logistics & Planning Coordinator. The overall purpose of the role is to assist management in ensuring the maximum profitability of the company. To perform all required functions in accordance with the company’s contract of employment and the spirit of that contract. To ensure all responsibilities are handled in accordance with the requirements and expectations of the customer. Principle job responsibilities:

Freight Operations
  • Taking Bookings for shipments
  • Arranging suitable transportation in line with customer requirements
  • Monitoring shipments through to final destination
  • Warehouse planning and operations, resource management, planning and customs
  • Liaison with the overseas offices in Belgium, St Petersburg and Finland
  • Raise non-conformities against sub-contractors and keep such records
  • Log Customer Complaints and ensure their effective close out
  • Report any customer feedback to General Manager

Ensure that any new suppliers are sent the supplier questionnaire and inform Quality Representative of any changes

Documentation managed
  • Completion of all necessary documentation for all shipments.
  • Use of all company approved forms and templates
  • Work to approved set of company operational procedures in line with Quality system requirements.

Will also ensure that all sales invoices are raised on the day of loading and to ensure Purchase invoices are passed for payment. Must have knowledge of Logistics or Freight Forwarding, be computer literate and have the ability to manage good working relationships.

Administration/Accounts
  • Ensure that all Sales Invoices are raised on the day of loading
  • Ensure Purchase Invoices are passed for payment
  • Be responsible for completing Job Profits on a monthly basis.
