Job description

Our client, based in 2 miles away from the main site (SS14), are seeking to recruit a Logistics Operative on a temporary contract working 37 hours per week.

The purpose of this role is to: to work within the Logistics Team to complete daily operational tasks supporting the efficient movement, storage, and control of materials through the logistics hub. The role ensures business requirements and service level agreements (SLAs) are met, maintaining high levels of accuracy, quality, and compliance with business processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately perform picking, put-away, and stock relocation activities
  • Control and process incoming goods receipts in line with procedures
  • Conduct perpetual inventory and cycle count checks to maintain stock accuracy
  • Pack deliverable items to required quality standards
  • Receive and process customer repair returns
  • Ensure full inventory accuracy and batch traceability at all times
  • Operate in accordance with SAP and local Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support inter-site transportation of materials
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas and follow all H&S requirements
Essential attributes:
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, retail logistics or stock management
  • Previous use of SAP or similar ERP system for logistics transactions
  • Clean UK driving licence
Desirable attributes:
  • Certified to operate forklift and reach truck
  • Certified to operate pallet stacker truck and MEWP
  • Knowledge of best-practice warehousing processes and inventory controls

Given the nature of this role, which will involve access to documentation in relation to national security, candidates must be sole UK Nationals and will be required to undergo SC Clearance as part of pre employment vetting.
