Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting for a Logistics Operative in Coventry on a 6-month contract. The role involves directing inbound couriers, unloading deliveries, scanning and recording in SAP, and preparing orders for dispatch in a fast-paced aerospace-related facility.

The position pays £18.03 per hour under PAYE inside IR35, with on-site work at Ansty Park and responsibilities spanning receiving, stock put-away, and warehouse operations management.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse logistics and inbound/outbound handling.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to follow delivery and inventory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct inbound couriers safely to unloading bays.
• Unload deliveries and review delivery paperwork per guidelines.
• Move MRO returns to the drop-off zone.
• Record deliveries in SAP against POs.
• Generate GRNs and label materials.
• Store goods in correct areas (VLM, VNA, exterior stores).
• Pick items from storage into order containers.
• Label decanted materials when needed.
• Transfer picked orders to marshalling area for inspection or packing.
• Prepare for despatch and manage inventory.
• Oversee warehouse operations and inventory control.

About our client:

Our client operates a major aerospace and defence engineering facility at Ansty Park, delivering advanced components and systems for global aviation platforms.
The site supports high-precision manufacturing, testing, and innovation activities, serving both commercial and military customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring inbound couriers are directed safely across the yard to the appropriate unloading bay.
• Unloading of delivery vehicles and review of delivery paperwork ensuring that delivery guidelines are met.
• Transfer of MRO returns to the MRO drop off zone.
• Receipt of deliveries against PO's in SAP.
• Generation of GRN's and labelling of materials.
• Put away of goods into appropriate storage area (VLM, VNA, Exterior Stores)
• Picking from storage locations into appropriate order container e.g. kit box, bag, tote box.
• Labelling of decanted materials where required.
• Transfer picked orders to tug marshalling area, awaiting quality inspection or packing area.
