Job summary

A reputable aerospace client in Basildon is seeking a Logistics Operative to join their team. You will manage material transitions, ensure inventory accuracy, and process goods in line with business needs. Candidates should have logistics experience, be IT literate, and hold a clean UK driving licence. This is a contract position requiring 37 hours per week, and successful applicants will undergo security vetting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, retail, warehouse, or stock management is essential.
  • Certification to use a fork-lift & reach truck is desirable.
  • Certification to use a pallet stacker truck and MEWP is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform the picking and put away of inventory.
  • Control and process incoming goods receipts.
  • Conduct perpetual inventory checks.
  • Pack deliverable items.
  • Handle customer repair receipts and processing.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and batch traceability.

Overview

Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operative to work on behalf of one of our reputable Aerospace clients based in Basildon.

To work within the Logistics Team performing set daily tasks to support the transition of material through the hub to meet business requirements and service level agreements.

Work in line with business process, SAP, and local Logistics standard Operating processes.

Key responsibilities
  • Accurately perform the picking and put away of inventory.

  • Customer repair receipt and processing.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and batch traceability.

  • Essential – Logistics, retail, warehouse, stock management experience.
  • Essential – Used SAP or similar business system for logistics transactions.
  • Essential – Clean UK driving licence.
  • Desirable – Certificated to use a fork-lift & reach truck.
  • Desirable – Certificated to use a pallet stacker truck and MEWP.
Additional details

Successful candidate will need to undertake security vetting to SC level and be willing to sign the OSA.

Position will be based at our off‑site facility located about two miles from the main site.

Contract position – 37 hours per week.
