Type of employment: Temporary help

Function: Logistic / Purchase / Infrastructure

Location: Southend-on-Sea, England, United Kingdom

We’re looking for a Logistics Material Handler to join our dedicated Logistics team, who play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of our supply chain — receiving and inspecting deliveries, ensuring components meet our high-quality standards, and coordinating the seamless flow of materials between our facilities.

We are offering this position as a 12-month fixed term contract. The core working hours are 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Your responsibilities
  • Successful completion of mandatory training
  • Ensure materials are received into the goods receiving bays within 24 hours of their arrival
  • Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental procedures & policies
  • Maintain accuracy of stock counts by receiving the correct quantities of components into the goods receiving bays, both physically and on our ERP system
  • Ensure quick transit of component parts, ready for line feeding to shop floor locations
  • Liaise with the Purchasing team to resolve booking-in concerns or issues
  • Participate in investigations when deliveries are received damaged or cannot be located
  • Demonstrate previous experience in a Goods In/Receiving, Stock, Stores or Warehousing role
  • You need to have a full UK driving license, as the role involves driving a van between our site locations
  • Any previous experience operating a forklift or similar equipment is highly desirable but not essential
  • Basic PC skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • This role is active in nature, involving walking/travelling between different sites and locations, as well as lifting of components and moving of pallets. Regular pushing and manoeuvring of various aids and equipment is to be expected.
  • Patient Focus - We put patients at the heart of everything
  • Integrity - We do the right thing
  • Innovation - We look for new ways to make things better
  • Impact - We take accountability and get things done
  • Empathy - We care for one another and work together
  • In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement
  • You will be eligible for private medical cover
  • We offer a comprehensive company pension scheme
  • You will receive an annual health check with BUPA, funded by us
  • Employee Assistance Program to support your health, mental and emotional-wellbeing
  • At our HQ, we have a subsidised staff restaurant and free parking
  • Other benefits include discounted gym and wellness memberships, cashback and discounts with major UK retailers
