Introduction

We are working alongside one of Europe’s largest MEP contractors, focused on delivering complex engineering projects, to recruit a Logistics Manager who is proactive and eager to progress on a large-scale data centre project.

Candidate Profile

Ideally, candidates will have experience with high-profile projects valued over £100m+. The project is complex, with logistical challenges, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Company & Role Overview

You will work for a market-leading contractor with a diverse business model that emphasizes modern health and safety and employee engagement practices. With a full order book for several years, there is excellent scope for a credible Construction Manager to play a pivotal role in the growth and expansion of this Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee direct and subcontract labour, resources, and materials.
  2. Ensure a proactive approach to Health & Safety, following company procedures and legal legislation.
  3. Utilize Data scope management systems effectively.
  4. Be comfortable with sustainability initiatives.
  5. Manage collections and deliveries to site.
  6. Lead the logistics team, including on-site drivers and delivery personnel.
  7. Maintain positive relationships with customers and ensure professional service for smooth project execution.
  8. Manage access and egress records via biometric turnstile systems, monitor site labour levels, material deliveries, and site tidiness, ensuring Health and Safety compliance.
  9. Previous experience managing significant logistics packages is essential.
  10. Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  11. Possess good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
  12. Be flexible to travel as required.
