Qualifications

Job Purpose

Based at our chilled food manufacturing site in Milton Keynes, you will manage the storage, picking and distribution of finished goods, delivering against KPI targets within budget.

Key Duties
  • Lead despatch and warehouse operation to support the business in delivering customer orders.
  • Maintain KPI metrics to analyse and implement improvements.
  • Manage time and resources across production facilities, ensuring performance is undisrupted.
  • Stock accuracy and reconciliation for on and off-site locations.
  • Co-ordinate transport and cold storage providers to meet business needs.
  • Liaise with Planning teams to manage requirements including labour, equipment, freeze capacity
  • Manage relationship with third party logistic providers, dealing with day-to-day escalation, longer term demand forecasting, and performance.
  • Ordering, scheduling and stock taking of returnable equipment, considering peak season and freezer program.
  • Delivery discrepancy investigation and debit note reduction plan.
  • Control budgeted spend and deviation forecast whilst finding ways to reduce cost.
  • Overtime management and reduction plan.
  • Motivate and train workforce whilst identifying talent to develop.
  • Promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health and Safety across the site, ensuring integrity and food safety.
  • Maintain full traceability of finished goods and ensure always audit ready.
  • Deputise for Supply Chain Manager during periods of absence and annual leave
Experience
  • Previous experience in logistics management or supply chain warehouse
  • Manufacturing/ FMCG/ food manufacturing desirable
  • Budget control and cost reduction plans
