A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Logistics Helpdesk Specialist for a 6-month contract role in Hatfield. Responsibilities include managing core communications across teams, order management, problem resolution, and liaising with customers and couriers. Candidates must possess SC Clearance and demonstrate effective communication, multitasking, and a proactive approach. The position requires a structured and dynamic work ethic, with a pay rate of £18.50/hr. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Are you a highly organised and resilient professional looking for a fast-paced role at the heart of a major operation? We are searching for an exceptional Logistics Helpdesk Specialist to join our client's team on a 6-month contract.
As the Logistics Helpdesk Specialist, you will be the vital link across multiple teams, ensuring the smooth movement of goods and information. Your core responsibilities will include:
Operational Hub: Handling core communications (emails, tasks, Teams calls) for Inside Sales, Projects, and Delivery Management teams.
Order Management: Accurately amending and updating orders within the WMCS system.
Supply Chain Control: Obtaining Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and resolving suspended orders in WMCS.
Problem Resolution: Progressing logistical claims swiftly and arranging necessary carriage forwards.
Customer & Courier Liaison: Managing relationships with couriers, securing quotations, tracking deliveries, and overseeing invoice checks/queries.
Returns Processing: Managing the end-to-end returns cycle, including customer collection, obtaining supplier RMAs, and processing credits via SAP.
Specialist Orders: Processing Buy & Store orders in WMCS.
International Trade (Cover): Providing essential cover for creating commercial invoice paperwork for international shipments.
This is a busy and reactive environment, and we need someone who can hit the ground running.
Essential Skills: You must be a confident communicator, adept at prioritising, and an effective multi-tasker. The ability to maintain a positive and proactive approach, even when faced with complex challenges, is key.
Mindset: More important than direct experience is your ability to learn quickly, demonstrate confidence, and take full ownership of every task.
Clearance: You must hold current Government SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
