This is an opportunity to join a safety-first team working on technically challenging, high-impact programmes if you're motivated by solving real on-site constraints, influencing delivery outcomes, and seeing your plans translated into action, read on.

The Opportunity

You'll be working with a well-established organisation operating within a high-hazard, tightly governed environment, where standards, compliance, and doing things properly genuinely matter. The culture is collaborative and professional, with strong technical depth and a clear focus on safe delivery, continuous improvement, and effective planning. You'll be supported by a wider logistics function while still having real autonomy and visibility across critical work areas.

The role leads and takes responsibility for the development and maintenance of an appropriate worksite inventory during the relevant project phase and prepares logistics technical documentation and inputs to support the Pre-Construction Information (PCI), Construction Phase Plan (CPP), project decision-making and subsequent delivery

The Role

As a Logistics Engineer, you will act as the primary logistics engineering point of contact for assigned worksites, providing practical, site-led support to projects as they move from discovery and planning into mobilisation and delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Completing site visits, walkdowns and investigations to capture logistics constraints, access/egress, interfaces and opportunities
  • Integrating logistics requirements with project schedules, milestones and programme priorities
  • Producing and maintaining logistics technical documentation such as Worksite Logistics Plans, Inventory Reports, Vehicle Movement Reports, routing diagrams, throughput calculations and supporting inputs for planning and delivery documentation
  • Developing and maintaining an appropriate worksite inventory, ensuring data quality, traceability and fitness for purpose
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders (project, engineering, worksite teams, safety specialists, waste teams and other SMEs) to ensure logistics is embedded early and effectively
  • Planning handovers into delivery, ensuring logistics requirements, constraints, planned movements and outstanding actions are clearly transferred to the delivery team
  • Providing ongoing technical support during mobilisation/execution to maintain continuity and resolve emerging issues

You will have the following qualifications & experience

  • Proven experience in logistics engineering, logistics planning, or a comparable technical logistics role within an operational/industrial environment
  • Proven ability to assess worksites and translate findings into practical logistics plans and technical outputs
  • Strong experience coordinating logistics requirements across multiple stakeholders and interfacing teams
  • Experience producing clear, robust technical documentation to support planning, governance and delivery decisions
  • Strong capability managing inventory and logistics data using digital systems, with high attention to detail and data quality
  • Experience working within structured and regulated environments (high-hazard / heavy industrial experience highly advantageous)
  • Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicator with proven stakeholder engagement skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • A proactive, reliable approach with the ability to work independently and deliver to programme needs
